If you are travelling Route 66 you MUST stay in a Wigwam Motel. They are iconic and not a bad pace to stay. Our room was quite large with a queen bed, TV, etc. The bathroom is very small and the shower is weird (keep in mind you are in a concrete dwelling shaped like a teepee) but everything works and it is clean..
